Bringing Bold Stories to Life
Miranda “Rands” Winters is a creative director, producer, writer, and designer with over a decade-long track record of creating bold, socially conscious film and television. Based in Los Angeles, she co-founded Winters Rock, a production company known for crafting award-winning non-fiction stories that dig deep into the human experience—whether it’s in a California classroom or on the wild plains of Wyoming.
Rands started her career as an intern and quickly worked her way up to VP of Operations at an action sports production company, where she produced over 100 episodes of TV. Since then, she’s directed and produced four feature documentaries and helped launch ten original TV series around the world, from big-wave surf competitions in Portugal to adventure races in Iceland to protest lines in Los Angeles.
Her credits include Letters to Liam, Blue Zeus, We Can’t Breathe, and Gangsta Gardener, as well as collaborations with HBO (100 Foot Wave), Insight TV, and ESPN. Whether she’s writing a pitch, designing a title sequence, or directing in the field, Miranda brings creative clarity, fierce determination, and a deep sense of purpose to every project.
When she’s not in production, she’s at home with her wife and their two cats, Taiko and Emilio.
